Lift Heavy. Live Big.

At Risio Athletics, strength and conditioning isn’t just about getting really sweaty and sore; it’s about building a body that supports your life outside the gym. Our motto is simple; Lift Heavy, Live Big.

Our strength and conditioning classes focus on the following:

  • Strength development (barbells, dumbbells, functional strength)

  • Conditioning, work capacity, cardiovascular endurance

  • Movement quality and injury prevention (strong is safe!)

  • Sustainable, long-term progress

What our community is saying:

The strength and conditioning classes are really well programmed and I’ve made real progress, and I’m not new to lifting. The culture is awesome, super supportive, and not intimidating at all.

— Celeste Norcotte

I joined Risio Athletics after moving to Portland in January and couldn’t be happier with the decision. The staff are knowledgeable, supportive, and genuinely invested in helping members succeed. The programming is top-notch—blending barbell strength, bodyweight skills, and conditioning in a way that challenges you but is scalable for all levels.
