Meet our Personal Trainers

Margaret Beck, Owner of Risio

Specializes in general strength and conditioning, functional bodybuilding, and gymnastics strength and skill work.

  • I've been training with Margaret for three years. I came in with a shoulder injury history and a genuine conviction that I'd never do squats safely again. Within months of working with her, I was squatting regularly, pain-free, and with a confidence I didn't think I'd get back. Her knowledge across every discipline of strength and conditioning is remarkable, and she applies it thoughtfully to whatever you need.

Paula Waltz

Specializes in beginner strength training, senior fitness

“Whether you are just getting started, or building on a lifetime of fitness, my job is to meet you where you’re at and design an exercise program that is unique to your needs. My goal is to help you train for what life throws at you, whether that's jogging to catch a bus, climbing stairs, keeping up with grandkids, or going on active pursuits.”

- Paula

“Paula has become an integral part of my focus on functional fitness as I get older; she has put together a weight training and balance plan that has helped me improve my strength and overall ability to do daily activities; I saw improvements immediately. Paula pays very close attention to my movements and adjusts when necessary. She is someone I feel safe to train with and I trust her fully with my ongoing fitness journey.”

-Beth Rice

“Paula and I have worked together for about two years, and I have gained strength and mobility, which I see every day in my ordinary activities.  We do a varied routine, and Paula ups the duration/weight/etc. as my strength and ability have improved.”
