Step 1: No Sweat Intro
This is where all new members will begin! Even if you have done some functional fitness and barbell focused group exercise before and are just looking for a new gym, we still want to meet you! You’ll come into the gym to meet one of the coaches, see the space, and discuss your current fitness level. If you are brand new to strength training and group fitness, your No-Sweat Intro is where we talk about fundamentals; see step two :)

Step 2: Fundamentals
For those who have never lifted weights before, we require 4 one-on-one fundamental training sessions with a coach where you’ll learn the basics of what we do at Risio. Taking the time to learn first before diving head first into the group classes is paramount to your success in the gym. The four sessions are broken down as follows:
Squatting and pressing with a barbell
Bodyweight strength and skill
Deadlifting/hip based movement
Olympic weightlifting technique

Step 3: Start Taking Classes
Once you’ve completed your 4 fundamental sessions, you’re officially ready to begin classes with us! We’ll make sure you’re signed up on ZenPlanner and have downloaded SugarWOD so you can view each day’s programming ahead of time, log your results, and virtually high-five your classmates.
